Errica Makri

B.Sc., M.Sc.

Errika was born in Athens and is a graduate of Varvakeion. She studied dance at the State School of Orchestral Art and obtained a Diploma at the London Academy of Dancing. She attended seminars in dance therapy and
trained as an actor at the Athens Drama School. At the same time she attended the Aspasia Papathanasiou School of Ancient Drama.
Errika has worked at the National Theatre, in the National Theatre, in private theatres and on television. She continued her studies in the Pedagogy of Theatre and Drama with a three-year course of study. She worked with children and adults as an animator through theatre play. She created the artistic group Dreamers.
In 2005 she started training in Person-Centred Counselling at ICPS. She completed the Post Graduate Diploma in Person-Centred Counselling in 2008 and in 2016 completed the MSc in Person-Centred Counselling, University of Strathclyde.
Since 2009, she has been working privately as a Mental Health Counsellor and as a trainer/psychotherapist/facilitator in experiential personal development groups through the arts. She has worked with the KETHEA, with the Game School, with continuing vocational training structures and sensitive social groups.
In 2016 she created the arts and psychotherapy centre, Arts & Therapy. She specializes in counseling psychotherapy for creatives and artists.
In recent years she has been attending creative writing courses. She continues to educate, research and seek creative paths that marry a person-centered approach to therapy with the arts.
