Pinelopi Konisti,
B.Α, M.Α., Ph.D.c.

Pinelopi is the Principal of the 2nd Primary School of Athens.
In 1984 she graduated from the Pedagogical Academy of Tripoli. In 1992 she attended the two-year postgraduate training for teachers in the General Education of Maraslios Didaskaleio and in 2006 she obtained a degree in pedagogy from the Pedagogical Department of Primary Education of EKPA as well as a postgraduate degree from the Department of Special Pedagogy and Psychology.
 
From 1984 to 1989, 1994 to 1999, 2002 to 2004, 2008 to 2010 Pinelopi worked as a teacher in the general schools of the country and in the Integration Departments of Athens. From 1989 to 1992 she worked in the Directorate of Primary Education of the Ministry of Education as the head of European programs. From 1999 to 2002 she worked at the Secretariat of the 1st PEK Athens and from 2007 to 2008 she worked as Deputy Director of DI.E.K. Agios Dimitrios.
 
She has taught topics related to Special Education in a number of seminars for teachers and professionals as well as in annual programs of Greek Universities and Private Institutions. She has also taught in undergraduate courses of PTDE – EKPA.
 
Many of her works have been presented in Greek and international conferences. Her scientific and research interests focus on improving the skills of students with Learning Disabilities to become fully functional in the requirements of the traditional school as well as ways to detect students' school readiness before moving from Kindergarten to Primary School.
