Ilektra Diakolambrianou,
B.Sc., Pg.Dip., Ph.D.

Ilektra  was born and raised in Rhodes, Greece. She holds a Ph.D. in Social Psychology at Panteion University, researching social integration and political participation as aspects of immigration from and towards Greece. Within this framework she has conducted field research in Greece, Australia and the US, and presented her work at conferences in Greece and other European countries.
She works in Athens as a psychologist and mental health counsellor. Her professional activities include individual, family and couples therapy, expressive arts therapy, experiential workshops, psychology and communication skills seminars, vocational guidance and creativity coaching.
She is co-operating with the NGO METAdrasi as a custodian for unsupervised children, with the Institute of Employment of GSEE (General Confederation of Greek Workers) as a work consultant and with Gordon Hellas as a certified instructor Parent/ Teacher/ Leader/ Effectiveness Training. In the past she had co-operated as a psychologist and scientific co-worker with ELSTAT, National Service Erasmus+, the Greek Research Center of Sound and Music, Panhellenic Association of Child and Adult Mental Health (PEPSYPE), the Consulting Center <<Neos Kosmos>>, the Yacht Club of Rhodes and the Cultural and Folklore Organization <<Ampernalli>>. She is a Governing Council member of World Association for Person-Centered and Experiential Psychotherapy and Counselling (WAPCEPC) and a GC member of the Global Association of Dodecanese.
 
In 2016 she completed her training as a trainee trainer and became a member of ICPS academic staff in Counselling Department.
